Journeys in Arn’s Footsteps in the Year of Our Lord 2008
Now, even you can be a part of the story and bring the history to life. Travelling in Arn’s footsteps is one way to bring the fictional tale and the factual history together. The Middle Ages live on in many locations around Skaraborg and now you can experience a world in a different time. You can travel on your own or in small groups from November 2007 until April 2008.
Beginning in May, churches, cafés, restaurants and other places to visit will reopen. What is new for this year are the exhibitions about the filming of “Arn: the Movie” in the town of Skara and Medeltidens Värld (The Medieval World) outside the town of Götene, made from the scenes used in the film. All of Skaraborg will come to new life in the wake of the film that so many have eagerly waited to see.
The local tourist information offices in West Gothia can give you even more tips about places of interest, accommodation and eating establishments and cafés along the paths walked by Arn.
For bookings or if you have any questions, contact the local tourist information offices, churches or Arn’s Travel Service. Please note that all tours must be booked in advance. We also recommend reserving a place for lunch.

There is an excellent travel brochure called “In Arn’s Footsteps” which presents many of the early medieval sights and places of interest in West Gothia. The brochure is available from the tourist information office in Skaraborg and from the churches mentioned in the Arn books.
